uPVC window and door repairs in Southport
You don't always need new windows. A lot of my work is repairs to the ones you've got.

What I repair
- Misted double glazing (I just swap the glass)
- Hinges on uPVC windows, including top-hung windows that won't stay open
- Locks and handles on windows, doors and conservatory doors
- Doors that have dropped, stick or won't lock
- Patio doors with worn runners
- Broken glass
- Re-sealing round frames where draughts or water get in
Ring me and tell me what's wrong. I'll tell you if it's worth fixing or if you're better off with a new one.
Cat flaps and pet flaps
I can fit a cat flap into a double-glazed panel, or a pet flap into a uPVC door. I've fitted a large one in a back door as well.

Fascias, soffits and guttering
I replace rotten timber fascias and soffits with uPVC, fit dry verges and new guttering, and fix gutters that leak or have dropped.
Just the gutters or fascias
I usually do it at the same time as the windows, but I'll come out just for the gutters or fascias too.
I've done everything from re-aligning the gutters on a conservatory or replacing one drainpipe, to new fascias and dry verges on a gable, and uPVC cladding on dormers and a cattery.

Questions people ask me
Do you do small repair jobs?
Yes. Plenty of my jobs are small ones: a lock, a couple of hinges, one misted unit.
Can you fix a door that has dropped?
Usually. A dropped uPVC door can often be re-aligned, and the hinges or lock replaced, without a new door.
My window won't stay open. What's wrong with it?
It's normally the hinges. On top-hung windows they wear and the window drops shut. I can replace them.
Can you fit a cat flap in double glazing?
Yes, in a new double-glazed unit for a window or door panel, or in a uPVC door.
Do I need to replace my fascias?
If the wood's gone soft or the paint keeps flaking, I'd put uPVC on. I'll have a look and tell you.
Can you fix a leaking gutter?
Yes. It's often a joint, or the gutter has dropped and needs re-aligning so the water runs to the downpipe.
