About me, and getting hold of me

Ring or WhatsApp, whichever's easier. I work seven days a week. If I'm on a job, I'll usually get back to you within an hour or two.

Or email me at ddwindowsuk@hotmail.co.uk.

How I started

I got into it by accident really: a corner sofa wouldn't go in a house and the front window had to come out. Me and another chap called Dave went into business, which is where the D&D comes from. It's just me now.

What I do now

Most of my work is windows. My favourite is doors, because they make a big difference to a property. I fit Rehau, VEKA, Eurocell and Liniar, because they're the most popular and I find them the best quality for the money.

I do repairs as well, and commercial work. I've done a lot of work in a care home, replacing doors and units for the residents. It's where they live, so that one's a good feeling. I've also done entrance doors for blocks of flats, fire exit doors, bifolds on a sandwich shop and a cattery in uPVC.

The finish

It's all about the finish: the trimming up and making it look good. I'm really proud of myself on that.

• I'm Assure registered (certificate number 391)
• New windows are guaranteed for 15 years, the glass for 5 years, and the handles, hinges and locks for 12 months
• Public liability insurance up to £1 million

Where I work

Mostly Southport, Birkdale, Ainsdale, Churchtown, Formby, Ormskirk and Burscough. I'll go as far up as the Lakes and as far down as Stoke-on-Trent.
